However, questions were still being asked after a second half performance bar a wonder goal from hitman Vipotnik that resembled so many this season. It was another night for the brave to venture out in Swansea last night. Driving rain and the lure of a warm night in with a plethora of football matches to choose from won for many again. Those that did venture out in their thousands yet again are still wondering this morning of any of their efforts are worth it. |

Despite the talk and the build up the Swans didn’t have the finishing power in the second half to earn a point from this game. In fact it was t until the last two minutes that chances on target were made. Until then it was pretty much huff and puff. Yes Yalcouyé was sent off and on reflection regardless of contact or not with the impressive acting skills of Steve Cook he had to go. That was on thirty four minutes and to be honest before that the Swans play wasn’t any different to the next thirty five of playing time. |

Swansea City players return to Fairwood this morning with much to digest after their weekend performance against Southampton. Despite earning a point, on any other given day they would have lost that fixture. It was more about Southampton and their poor finishing than a solid defensive performance. |
